The NUPA Association was established to help children with multivisceral transplant and affected by intestinal failure and parenteral nutrition. Surely to many of you this will sound strange, because these are rare diseases and ailments, but they need the support of all.
The intestinal failure is caused by a group of rare diseases that cause children not to be able to be fed through the digestive tract, and to need intravenous nutrition. In many cases this is not possible, and the only alternative is a multivisceral transplant.
NUPA offers various services to help them through hosting services, psychological therapy, occupational therapy, etc.
The Association has just launched its Great Heroes Charity Calendar 2016. The proceeds of sale are entirely devoted to funding medications, therapies and direct aid for displaced away from their hometown because of their illness. It is everyone’s responsibility to help, so if you want to help purchasing the calendar (you have them on wall and table format) or becoming a member, here you will find all the information you in detail. Nearly fifty small great heroes of NUPA participate this year, and they have posed with familiar faces like Manel Fuentes, Pepe Rodríguez (Masterchef), Paula Echevarría, Roberto Leal, Luján Argüelles, Asunción Balaguer, Leticia Dolera, Irene Visedo, Álex García, Edurne Pasabán, Màxim Huerta, El Hombre de negro and Vicente del Bosque.
